On December 31, 2025, the second oil production plant of Changqing Oilfield achieved a cumulative oil and gas production equivalent of over 4 million tons, reaching 4.02 million tons, setting a new historical record.
The second oil production plant is the earliest oil production plant developed by Changqing Oilfield in the revolutionary old area of Qingyang and is also a core production unit with a daily oil and gas production equivalent of over 10,000 tons. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the plant has been committed to the goal of "high-quality construction of a modern demonstration oil production plant", coordinating the effective improvement of quality and the reasonable growth of quantity. Its oil and gas production has achieved two consecutive 1 million-ton leaps, and its labor productivity has increased by 37.1%. Its value creation capacity has continued to rise. Up to now, the second oil production plant has successfully developed 10 low-permeability oilfields in the revolutionary old area of Qingyang, built 5 thousand-ton oil production operation areas, and produced over 88 million tons of crude oil in total.
Facing the severe challenges in the later stage of old oilfield development, the second oil production plant has regarded the efficient and stable production in the old area as the "ballast stone" for its survival and development. It has deeply advanced the integration of exploration and development, intensified the application of 3D seismic results, optimized the well location deployment and drilling design, and improved the quality and efficiency of production from the source. It has actively implemented comprehensive adjustment and improvement projects for old oilfields and enhanced oil recovery projects, and has made breakthroughs in applying key technologies such as precise water injection, large-scale volume fracturing, and deep profile control for stable production and efficiency improvement. The natural decline rate of conventional oil reservoirs has been reduced to below 10%, and the foundation for stable and increased production has been continuously consolidated. It has implemented the "Digital and Intelligent Petroleum" strategic measures, comprehensively promoted the application of the "big monitoring" model, and achieved a 100% online rate for oil and water wells throughout the plant. The unmanned operation rate for small and medium-sized stations and oil transportation points has also reached 100%. It has accelerated the construction of the natural gas production, supply, storage and sales system, established a full life cycle management system for gas wells, maintained stable natural gas supply during the winter heating period, and effectively guaranteed the winter gas demand for both civilian and industrial use in the old area of Qingyang.
While steadily increasing oil and gas production, the second oil production plant has comprehensively carried out the creation of a green enterprise, accelerated the transformation towards green and low-carbon, and comprehensively built a new energy pattern featuring wind, solar, electric and thermal energy complementarity. Currently, the plant has built and put into operation 301 distributed photovoltaic power stations, with a total installed capacity of 47.82 megawatts, leading the way in Changqing Oilfield. In addition, the plant has actively participated in rural revitalization and public welfare undertakings, driving the economic and social development of the oilfield area through its own high-quality development, and creating a favorable situation of coordinated development between production and ecology, and integration and progress between the enterprise and the local area.
