In the vast Qaidam Basin, PetroChina Qinghai Oilfield Company is spearheading a green energy revolution. According to the latest data, the oilfield has achieved remarkable environmental results through a series of clean energy replacement projects, generating a cumulative 26.58 million kWh of electricity, saving 2.01 million cubic meters of natural gas, and reducing carbon emissions by over 10,000 tons.

In recent years, Qinghai Oilfield has integrated green development concepts throughout its oil and gas production processes, establishing a diversified clean energy system that combines "photovoltaic + solar thermal + comprehensive clean energy utilization." Through a mix of self-built and pilot projects, the company has successfully implemented 18 clean energy initiatives, with a total installed capacity of 31.4 MW. Notably, the Yanhu Gas Field has become the first zero-carbon demonstration zone by achieving 100% green electricity supply, while the Sebei Gas Field and Wunan Oilfield have been transformed into exemplary "green gas zones" and "low-carbon oil zones," respectively.

In the photovoltaic sector, Qinghai Oilfield has reached an installed capacity of 28.8 MW. Additionally, the company has innovatively applied solar thermal technology to oil and gas production, with two solar thermal projects totaling 2.6 MW, saving 1.51 million cubic meters of natural gas and continuously improving system efficiency. Through meticulous management, the oilfield has established a full-cycle system from planning and construction to operation and optimization, ensuring each project delivers maximum benefits.

Currently, Qinghai Oilfield is committed to building a comprehensive low-carbon energy demonstration hub on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. By systematically analyzing energy consumption structures and formulating scientific replacement strategies, the company is advancing clean energy projects across the board. These initiatives not only provide strong support for Qinghai Province in achieving its "dual carbon" goals but also inject green momentum into protecting the fragile ecosystem of the Qaidam Basin, demonstrating the energy sector's commitment to ecological conservation.
